She is a 21 meter iron wooden phinisi built for diving and cruising. The trip starts from Gili Trawangan/Gii Air and takes you to Komodo via the cost of Sumbawa. Your will experiece a lot of cool stuff in these areas. How about waterfall in Moyo, visit the village and trekk the viewpoint of the volcano island Satonda. Dive the active volcano of Sangeang where bubbles comes up through the black lava sand on the bottom. In Komodo, not only is the diving world class you will also go and see the famous Komodo dragons. This trip is a life time experiance!

The trip is 7 full days and 8 nights in total. The boat departs in the afternoon from Gili Trawangan and the trip ends in the Gili’s early morning. The schedule is flexible depending on weather and diving conditions but roughly looks like this:

Day 1: Start of the trip in the Gili’s – Welcome onboard and enjoy dinner together meeting fellow guests. You will be getting on the boat in the late afternoon. We will be setting up the dive equipment and checking you in to your cabins. We leave at sunset when we also will have our first dinner on the boat together. We are then travelling overnight.

Day 2: Moyo and Satonda – We are arriving in Moyo in the morning for a check dive at Medang. Then traveling through the day to Satonda where we do an afternoon dive and at sunset stop and take a look at the sky when it fills with millions of bats. This is something special to see. The bats travel from Satonda to Sumbawa to hunt the same time every evening. We are then traveling overnight to Sangean.

Day 3: Sangean and Banta – In the early morning we arrive in the north of Sangean where we dive at the amazing Bubble Reef. Then sailing down to Banta, where we do the second dive at GPS point. After that we head for Komodo where we will be arriving late that evening.

Day 4: Dragon safari and fantastic diving – In the early morning we will be entering the Komodo National Park. Escorted by a local ranger for a walk around the park to find the huge animal at very close range in their own habitat and enjoy the fascinating panorama of the island. This is the land of “Komodo Dragon”, the largest monitor lizards on earth. Then 3 dives the rest of the day. We stay anchored in Komodo bay overnight.

Day 5: Diving Komodo and Labuan Bajo – We will be doing 3 dives in the Islands of Komodo. In the evening we arrive in another island in Flores, Labuan Bajo where we stay overnight. Day 6: Diving Komodo – We do 3 dives in the Islands of Komodo and will be anchoring in the north.

Day 7: Banta – Sangean – Moyo – Diving at Banta Island in the morning then traveling through the day to Sangean for a late afternoon dive in Sangean house reef. We travel over night to Moyo.

Day 8 : Moyo – Gili’s – Morning dive in Haji’s reef then a land tour followed by an afternoon dive at the Moyo wall. We sail overnight back to the Gili Islands.

Day 9: End of the trip – Disembarking on Gili Trawangan in the morning.[/tab]

The vessle has got three twin cabins and one double meaning a full capacity of 7 or 8 guests. Two shared bathrooms with a limited supply (2 cubic meters) of fresh water. Three daily meals are included, tea, coffee, drinking water, occasional cakes and treats. Dietary variations can be catered for as long as advance notice is given.
Two spacious deck areas for lounging and hammock living, and a large communal dining area for sit down meals… Two small petrol driven generators for charging phones and cameras etc. Large speed boat with 40hp Yamaha outboard and full safety equipment on board.

Kira Kira Liveaboard is 22m long, 4.5m wide built entirely from Iron wood. We have two masts and can sail with the winds. The living space within the boat is crafted from Teak and the boat has a crew made up of 4 Bugis seamen.
